Discipline Clubs

The Engineering Society has nine discipline clubs also known as Department Student Councils (DSCs). These independent organizations represent students in specific engineering disciplines and are run by teams of elected members working to support the academic needs of the student body and help build connections within each discipline.

Apple DSC

The Queen’s Apple Math Discipline Club is the undergraduate student council for the Department of Mathematics and Engineering! We are made up of thirteen elected executives who work throughout the year to plan both social and academic events for the students. Recent events and initiatives include the Apple Jacket Patches, Clark Night, and Banquet.

ChemEngChem DSC

The Queen’s ChemEngChem Discipline Club is the undergraduate student council for the Department of Chemical Engineering! We are made up of fourteen elected executives who work throughout the year to plan both social and academic events for the students. Recent events and initiatives include the Exam Study Snacks Giveaway, Student Mixer, and Banquet.

Civil DSC

The Queen’s Civil Discipline Club is the undergraduate student council for the Department of Civil Engineering! We are made up of thirteen elected executives who work throughout the year to plan both social and academic events for the students. Recent events and initiatives include the Civil Logo Contest, Banquet, and Civil Merch.

ECE Club

The Queen’s ECE Club is the undergraduate student council for the Electrical and Computer Engineering programs! We are made up of sixteen elected executives who work throughout the year to plan both social and academic events for the students. Recent events and initiatives include the ECE Clark Night, the ECE Bake Sale, and Jacket Pokémon Patches.

Mech DSC

The Queen’s Mechanical Engineering Discipline Club is the undergraduate student council for the Department of Mechanical Engineering! We are made up of ten elected executives who work throughout the year to plan both social and academic events for the students. Recent events and initiatives include the QUIP Information Night, Clark Hall Pizza Night with Professors, and the Mech Banquet.

Miller Club

Miller Club is the undergraduate student council for the Department of Geological Sciences and Engineering at Queen’s! We are made up of a small group of elected executives as well as students from all years of the undergraduate program. We meet weekly throughout the year to plan both social and academic events for the students, staff, and faculty of the department. Our annual staples include a welcome back BBQ, Holiday, and Spring Gronch (Semi-formal), and two geology-themed merch drops in both semesters. Check out the billboard in Miller Hall for important event and department updates as well as information on our weekly meeting times. Feel free to drop by all are welcome! Rock On!

Mining Society

The Queen’s Mining Society is the undergraduate student council for the Department of Mining Engineering! We are made up of seventeen members who work throughout the year to plan both social and academic events for the students. Recent events and initiatives include the Mining Merch and the 2023 Canadian Mining Games Team.

MRE DSC

The Queen’s Mechatronics and Robotics Discipline Club is the undergraduate student council for the Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering (MRE) program! We are made up of eleven elected executives who work throughout the year to plan both social and academic events for the students. Recent events and initiatives include the MRE Industry Open House, Jacket Patches, and a Tron Movie and Games Night.

Physics DSC

The Queen’s Physics Discipline Club is the undergraduate student council for the Physics and Engineering Physics Departments! We are made up of ten elected who work throughout the year to plan both social and academic events for the students. Recent events and initiatives include the Sticker Sale and the PH-Art Night.
