What are Capital Markets?
Julia Moynihan is Managing Director and Head of Money Market in CIBC’s Global Markets division. She is responsible for all trading activities across Government, Corporate and Securitized Money Market products. She is also responsible for all issuer relationships for Government and Corporate short-term debt in Canada.
Julia contributes to the culture of care at CIBC by formal and informal mentoring and was awarded Women in Capital Market’s Champion of Change in 2017 for her contribution to CIBC’s gender diversity initiatives. She is the Chair of the Junior Advisory Council, a forum of 21 analysts and associates from across Capital Markets, and was previously Co-Chair, Capital Markets Campus Recruiting. She is actively involved with the United Way and currently serves on the United Way of Peel Region’s Community Investment Cabinet.
Julia received her Bachelor of Arts (English Literature) from McGill University and is a CFA charter holder. She is married with three children.
