I.T. How To and General Information
So this page has been blank for a very long time, I decided that perhaps this is a good place to start putting up useful stuff that can benefit those active within the society as well as the students at large. Below is just a short beginning of the information that I am hoping to populate this page with.

Many of the general questions about computer stuff here on campus can be found on the ITS website.
Student Resources that I bet you didnt know we could get:
Free software from Microsoft. You can sign up with your netID and it will recognize you as a student. From there you can download to your hearts content. It mostly has software developement and IT tools, but it is pretty nice to get the full versions of $300+ for free.
Sorry but this one is only for people in ECE. This is pretty sweet too. Here you can get free operating system upgrades as well as a lot of the same stuff from DreamSpark. The licenses continue after you graduate so dont worry. This one is discontinued over the summer, but very handy for anyone in ECE who needs Windows 7.
Access to an online database of books and technical manuals. For the most part this is mostly computery and IT stuff as per usual but it is great for people trying to learn a programming language on their own, or various web development kits etc. It is a fantastic resource for any budding IT person.
